Michal Luft is a multidisciplinary artist based in Antwerpen. Her practice involves photography and site-specific installations, where she explores ordinary objects and spaces as a reflection of human fragility, insecurity, and vulnerability. Her works often underline the juxtaposition between what we see and what is seething beneath the surface. She captures, interprets, and meticulously recreates elements that obtain a seductive appearance, yet they don't behave as expected - their repetitive function, location, or redundancy hint at underlying issues.
